LOUISE LACEY-ROKOSH

Louise Lacey-Rokosh is a professional artist based in Calgary, Alberta. After finishing her BFA (Painting) she completed her MArch (Design). She had a successful career as a competition and design Architect in England and Canada. After returning to Canada in 2005, Louise left the field of Architecture to follow her true passion and paint full time.

Since commencing her renewed career in painting, she has had many exhibitions and has won numerous awards in Canada and the USA including being named “Featured Artist” at San Diego ArtWalk with over 300 artists at the event. Her work is in collections in Canada, Europe, and the United States. Recently (2022), she had the honour to co-leading "Come Paint Alberta - A Collaborative Plein Air Event", which culminated in a 6 week exhibition at the Leighton Art Centre. The summer of 2023 saw Louise get accepted into the presitgeous "Glacier Paint Out" at the Hockaday Museum in Montana.

In addition to her personal practice in painting, Louise runs a weekly painting class and teaches plein air workshops to share her knowledge and love for plein air painting.
