KAITLYNN COPITHORNE

Kaitlynn Copithorne is an illustrator and visual artist exploring the realms of myth, folklore, and the meeting of natural and supernatural worlds. Working in paint, print, and digital mediums her work takes visual inspiration from Early Modern block printing and folk art to create animal-centric worlds of brutal magic, occult deeds, and man-made dangers. A Visual Communication Design graduate at the Alberta College of Art + Design (now AUArts), she has participated internationally in residencies and group exhibitions. She has created work for music festivals, bands, books, magazines, and public and private art collections.
